Headed back to Hampshire for the weekend. Good drive down, fine weather and no hold-ups. Lunch with Mum and Dad then we headed into Fareham. Needed a new coat for thing two, and to get his feet measured, and I'd promised the boys they could choose some new books in Waterstones. Feels decadent buying new full priced books in an actual shop, shouldn't though should it.
Clare and I walked into Fareham as it was a nice afternoon and we needed some steps. I missed my 10k target on Friday for the first time in over a month, gah.
Bumped into an old friend and one of my cousins in Fareham too. That kind of stuff never happens down here in Kent, surprisingly.
We all stayed in Fareham for dinner, then just I stayed on for more drinks with friends, and then walked home again.
Lovely lunch next day too, great to see sister and nephews. Got the idea that I need some new bluetooth headphones now that nephew George has some of these 1.
Unfortunate ending, my great aunt Yvonne has had a stroke. It wasn't diagnosed straight away, though she was hospitalised anyway. She's not in a good way.
10k: Ten kilometres, just over six miles to you. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step count target.
💬 Also good boozing at The Crown
