Blog2016 ≫ Think I have my bluetooth scan working now

It's started scanning regularly and putting out a log file, like

[code] [CHG] Device 00:17:xx:xx:xx:xx RSSI: -72 [CHG] Device DC:4C:xx:xx:xx:xx RSSI: -88 [CHG] Device 00:17:xx:xx:xx:xx RSSI: -92 [CHG] Device DC:4C:xx:xx:xx:xx RSSI: -100 [/code]

So that's a device ID and an rssi value in decibels, that I can kind of convert to a distance. This is the distance from just one raspberry pi but if I can set up three of these in known locations then I can triangulate I think, and set up my live marauders map...

Pay Day tomorrow, time to buy two more raspberry pis!

Ah of course I need to be logging timestamps in there too. (raspberries pi?)

raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.

💬 Hi, I'm having same problem you had with Bluetooth (I found your post on www.raspberrypi.org).Any advice? I tried everything suggested on that thread.
