Blog2016 ≫ Got the bluetooth working on the raspberry pi 3

I was sure everything was up to date and should be working, but it just would not for me. It was behaving1 as if there was no bluetooth on the raspberry pi at all, so either the firmware was wrong or I was not really using a raspberry pi model 3 at all... Guess what, I was not using a raspberry pi 3 at all. At some point I'd swapped the sd card over and put it back into the raspberry pi 2 and it was that machine that I was trying the bluetooth on. Now got it paired with my phone, my laptop, my pebble, and my fitbit (I think, maybe it's Clare's fitbit) so can have a play with it... I think it's already reporting RSSI for the fitbit, as I move further away from the computer the number changes. So, if I get 2 more raspberry pis (raspberries pi?) then I can triangulate and the Marauder's Map will practically build itself.

raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.
