Blog2016 ≫ As it was Mothers Day I treated myself to a trip to the pub

No wait, I gifted Clare the opportunity for some quality bonding time with Number one son and number two son. I had not really done enough exercise so I thought I'd go for a walk, and kind of needed some cash so I walked to Hythe and then went to the Potting Shed. It shuts at 4pm on a Sunday, bah, so I tried the Butt of Sherry. Walked past it the other day and was thinking it was always my pub of choice in Hythe ages ago. Was nice enough though obviously fully of families being Mothers Day, groups in for the roast. Had one and then walked back, so managed 16k steps yesterday. Think I've done over my 10k every day for a couple of weeks now.

Before that we did more mothers day type things, the boys gave Clare cards and presents and we went to Canterbury for lunch at Zizzi. Was very nice indeed, though thing two was a little bit off colour. Also Clare got some shopping in while we went to the Beaney museum to see May The Toys Be With You, an exhibition of Star Wars toys and posters. I thought the boys would be more interested, but it looked a bit old fashioned and primitive to them.

A nice day all round.

10k: Ten km, just over six miles in old money. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step-count target.
