Blog2016 ≫ Google are supposed to be warning about sites that offer fake download buttons

So in the past if you'd search for some free software you'd be quite likely to end up on a site that did have the free software you were after, but also had dodgy banner ads that looked like the actual download. So instead of the software you're after it'd start downloading some virus laden crap. Google are now blocking these sites1, or at least warning against them. I use Google adsense to fund the hosting of this site and it looks like they're only showing ads that look like fake download buttons when I view this page with no ad blocker. Hardly seems fair does it? Why not block those kind of ads from adsense?

Got the day off today for a funeral. Took the kids to school and had a bit of a walk around Hythe while I had some time. Funeral is after lunch, then I'm back to do the school pickups while Clare stays on.
