Blog2016 ≫ Uninstall facebook, it's killing your phone battery

Removing the facebook app can give you 15% more battery1, it's draining the battery even when you're not using it. It is using you...

Not sure how to work out the balance here. I don't have facebook, do I have more life because I'm not reading facebook for an hour a day? Or do I have less life because I miss out on updates on what people are up to? I expect I do occasionally miss out on invites to things, but would I miss out on these invites anyway because I am obnoxious and smug and "ooh look at me I'm the kind of person who doesn't have facebook" all the time?

I bought a new phone today, well a reconditioned phone anyway. I really liked my sony xperia aqua that I had, but I bricked it by failing to unlock it. So I've bought another one, a slightly newer model. I do not like the iphone I've been using in the meantime.

I will not put facebook on my new phone.
