Blog2016 ≫ Twenty five years ago today, one of my top favourite gigs

This is the silver anniversary of I would say one of my top five gigs of all time, so far anyway. The Revolting Cocks were one of Al Jourgensen of Ministry's projects. There was an attempt to ban them from the UK just before this concert, possibly the concert was postponed for this reason, but it went ahead, and I was there.

There were strippers on stage, they were not really part of the show, I understand they were sent along by a newspaper in order to make the show seem more outrageous.

Here's me:

But this is more representative, it's the one single I had before the show, Beers, Steers, and Queers, and probably still the only one I could hum:

Looking back, it's not musically or culturally one of the greatest things I have done, but it was an experience. Not like many other gigs I've been to.

The further we get from it, the better a venue the Astoria seems to be, had a lot of good times there.
