Blog2016 ≫ Aargh just after I filled up

Diesel below 1 a litre...

I remember driving to a VW show at some point and stopping at motorway services on the way and seeing petrol was 60p a litre there and thinking "lawks, that's expensive, isn't it normally 45p a litre". That's how old I am.

Speaking of how old I am I think I'm likely to be coming up to 25th anniversaries of lots of things that I actually did as an adult, gigs and things. It's obviously already passed twenty five years since some gigs and events and things, but I just forgot them. It's my age again. Still I might record the next ones, here, to fill a bit of space 1.

All back to work and school today. A real struggle to get number two son out of bed, he wasn't keen to wake up today. Number one son sprang out, a bit more lively. I'm just about awake.

Fourth day of dryanuary, and those previous three days were weekend days, so I'm sure they count double.

  1. Reading this back in 2023 I think this must be the point where I started to record "five years ago this week" and so on. I'm starting to regularly hit things that happened THIRTY years ago now though. Crikey spikey it is about half two in the morning as I clumsily write this.

dryanuary: Not drinking for all of January.
