Blog2016 ≫ Went to Kearsney Abbey

We met up with some friends for a bit of a walk in the mud yesterday at Kearsney Abbey in Dover. The kids played in the park and had a nice run about, and we walked around (and very slightly through) the River Dour. I'm not sure about the history of the site, there are remains of buildings there but it doesn't seem like it actually was an abbey, just a private estate. Still lots of lovely huge trees and swans and things there now.

Was a bit cold yesterday, temperature suddenly dropped in 2016. December 2015 was six degrees above the seasonal average apparently, so now it's a bit more normal, though probably still above average. It's very windy at the moment and the sea is super choppy.
