Blog2015 ≫ Delme was good on Christmas eve

No-one goes out on Christmas Eve now that we all have kids, but we always used to go to the Delme on that day, a regular date. A bit more recently, after I moved away I think, people stopped going there anyway, and we drifted towards other pubs in Fareham. But, this year, I had a couple of hours spare, after the boys were in bed, and before Santa arrived, so I'd made a plan with Chris to go to the pub. I was happy to head over his way, but he was equally keen to make it easy for me, so The Delme it was. And as it is so convenient for Andy, it would have been crazy for him not to come. So the tradition is alive again!

It was good, still two bars, but a lot brighter and more modern now. They still had some real ale but no mulled wine and no Salvation Army band now. Still, I'd go again. Real nice to see my old friends anyway, wherever we end up.
