Splendid trip to Mum and Dad's. A wet drive down there but not delayed, and we got going quite early. A nice lunch and a chat and Mum suggested we leave the boys and head down to Gunwharf, so we did! Did a bit of christmas shopping, bought something for me from Mum and Dad, and something from Clare for me and had a nice look round, though the weather was very bad, wet and windy. Clare shopped for longer, lots to try on in White Stuff so I read the paper in the Old Custom House with a pint of ESB. And Clare didn't even buy anything, though she had my card, so it was win-win.

We had a lovely dinner in Zizzi then another drink in a less good pub, the Invicible - it was a nice idea, looked like it had a good range. It had been recently done up, but decorated in someone's idea of what a pub should be rather than what a pub should really be. Odd mix of fake character and big tv screens showing only adverts, also too bright. And my beer tasted a little bit off.

We went back to the Custom House for a half, it was very busy, then Dad collected us, very kind.

Absolutely mental goings on in Paris, shocking and disgusting.
