Blog2015 ≫ What a day to forget my phone

I have been rushed and disorganised today as my chief organiser has gone on Emma's hen do this morning and is not back until tomorrow. So I've had to arrange a day of fun for Number one son and number two son. Decided to go into Folkestone for the Trawler Race and Fun Day1. We were all up and about very early, as Clare was being picked up at 7:25, so breakfasts done and we were off out in the morning. A full and action packed day planned, lots to go in the boy's summer homework diary, and GAH I forgot my phone, so no photo's.

Had no change for parking so we parked a bit out of town and walked in, and took the Leas Lift down to the harbour. The trawler fun day was great! Lots going on, allt he fishing trawlers were in fancy dress for the race, and also loaded up with flour bombs and things. Lots of people in the sea too, a lovely hot day. I think we could have had a go on the lifeboat if I'd not been worried about keeping hold of both of them near the water. Maybe next year.

The boys had rides and a go on the bouncy castle and the boy did some bungee trampolining, which he loved. He was also pleased to win a cookie maker in the tombola there, though I'm hoping we can just put it in the next charity shop we pass.

My favourite Paul Babra2 was there too, and while I'd taken a packed lunch for the boys I'd had nothing, so that was fortuitous. I bought more chutneys too.

A really nice - though hot and tiring - day.

I let the boy stay up late tonight to try and watch Star Wars, though he's still not got the attention span for a whole film. He was too distracted by the popcorn and sweets we got too.
