Blog2015 ≫ Hot day in Folkestone today

Finally dragged ourselves into Folkestone after the boys had had their lunch, but before I'd had mine. Took a stroll through the town and down through Payers Park, like we always do. A quick stop in Beanos, for a takeaway cake only for me (that will do for my lunch then) and on to the Harbour. To find the Charivari carnival in full swing! It was good, number two son enjoyed it more than Number one son did. I especially liked these drummers1.

On to the coastal park next. Until disaster struck. While Number two was running one way Number one started screaming from another direction, so I grabbed Number two to run back to Number one, to find his foot had actually fallen off. At the very least from the howling. Turned out to be just a blister, but he could walk no further, so I piled him into the buggy and we got the leas lift back up into town. Got stir fry from Asda for my tea, for a bit of a change.

Bunk beds are looking good! Wish the mattresses were here already but they're not due until Monday. At least the room should be done by the time Clare is back.
