Upgraded my broadband to fibre, getting annoyed with the skype / google hangout connection being bad, and assuming it is my end. Now I have ten times the speed in both directions so a) if our next video chat is poor quality then it is definitely at your end Dad, and b) I think I can start hosting stuff from home. I should be able to stream my security camera footage whenever I want to now, so might try doing a bit more with that.
I've set my new SSID and password to be the same as the old one, hoping all the wireless devices would keep their settings but I'm not so sure they will. So I think I have to go round the house plugging screens and keyboards into all the various raspberry pis I have about the place. If I can even remember where they all are...
