Blog2015 ≫ I just got a new usb stick

A little pay day treat came in the post, 64gb usb stick1. It's only usb2 so not super modern, but nice and cheap with good reviews. This can hold more music than my original ipod (which I thought was the wonder of the age at the time). Holds more than 4x what my phone can. Going to leave it in the car filled up with heavy metal, then I can just plug it in when I'm in the car on my own. No sound quality issues that I get with the bluetooth but unfortunately no scrobbling which I would get with the phone, so I can't automatically update my library with "I listen to this more than that" type stats.

Will see if there's anything more I can do, maybe the car player writes something back to the device, that would be nice.

I just bought another raspberry pi too, maybe the car music player is back on track! Put a raspberry pi inbetween the car stereo and the usb drive and use that for doing the tracking and smart playlisting and things...

raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.

💬 Car is possibly struggling with the 64gb usb stick
