Blog2015 ≫ Things about my new car

Still really pleased with the new car. I've been driving it every day as we still have the hire car too, until they settle on the insurance. It's nice that it feels bigger, and drives nicely, and feels like it would have a bit of power, but uses less fuel and has lower emissions.

Couple of odd things though, I can't quite figure out the bluetooth audio streaming. It picks up my phone nicely, but I can't get it to shuffle all tracks at the moment. If I start the music from the car itself then it just repeats the same track again and again, and if I start the music from the phone then the music pauses as soon as the phone goes into standby, which it does because there are no headphones plugged in I think. The problem is probably a combo of the phone. Sony Xperia has done other odd things with the music, it has a quirky Sony music player. Also I could probably solve this just by plugging in one of these leads1, but I shouldn't have to. It needs more investigating but I can't find anyone else online with the same issue.

The other issue is pretty minor, but the screen on the music display is polarised in the opposite direction to my sunglasses. So if I put my sunglasses on and look at the music player straight on, it looks black. If I tip my head it appears again. Not a deal breaker though...

💬 Looks like it just the phone that is stuck on repeat
