I always say I won't buy another sony, they're annoying with their non-standardness, but whenever I actually look at an individual device I am slightly wooed... This looks like a good deal1, as does this2 if you have a few more quid.
I'm not shopping for a new tv, but I got an email voucher offering another 50 off those prices, that must be from the people I bought one of our TVs from once.
I don't need all the smart features of a new TV, all I really want is one more hdmi slot on my existing tv, gah.
I can see our old plasma tv going in a skip or something eventually. It's sat in the study doing nothing. I was using it as a 42'' monitor for a while, which is a ridiculous use of it in a room that size, surely no good for my eyes and burning too much energy so I've unplugged it again. What's to be done with it? It has a minor fault when connected to an hdmi source that's all, can I really put it to sleep for that? It was over two grand when we first got it!
