Saving this one for later, a lorry driver has adapted his truck using a raspberry pi, video here from the BBC.
His project is here1, it's some buttons on the dash that will send a tweet from his truck, guessing it is paired with his phone, maybe the phone is a mobile hotspot, might try this. I have some car pi plans of my own.
