I've updated the site with FSA ratings, covering not just hygiene but also "confidence in management" and "structure", still not quite sure what they all mean but I'm buying right into it... Check out any venue link on the site and where possibly I'm showing the ratings. I'm really pleased that ratings.food.gov.uk1 has such an easy to use API, I wonder if there's more I can do with this. Got a hackathon coming up at work, hmm...

This is my website The FG that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first came here in approximately '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a gig calendar + voting for best venues + things, and I know it was a useful reference for others who were thinking of moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was about to become. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from a fake newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald.
