Blog2014 ≫ Productive long weekend of coding then

Having Monday off was NICE! I walked Number one son to school with number two son, then we played with the trains and watched TV and stuff. I did a few chores, made a fabulous arrabiata for us and a non-chilli version for the boys too. While he had his lunchtime nap I revisited my mobile app1, converted it from the old build.phonegap.com2 (which is hosted online but now paid for) to the free version cordova.apache.org3 which you run all on your own machine, but is free. So my app1 is now easier for me to update. I'm not putting it in the app store or anything yet but you can install it from here1 if you visit that page on your android phone. It won't do much for you unless you have access to the api too, and then you have an authenticated key. So don't be thinking you can control the lights in my house just by visiting that url...

I had the pleasure of picking Number one son up from his first day of the new term too. He was NOT pleased to see us at all, he was expecting Grandpa. Grandpa = car, not having to walk back up the hill, and I suspect Grandpa also always has sweets... Number one son was tired after his first day back which made him super grumpy.

This is hella funny4, why estimates for software projects are always way off...
