Blog2014 ≫ Thought we had lost Number one son yesterday

Every parents worst nightmare happened to us yesterday, though only for a second or so. While we were in the toy dept of Nason's department store in Canterbury looking at something for Number two son, number one son vanished. He was gone from the toy shop. The shop assistant said "did he have a stick? he just walked out" (Number one son was still holding the stick from the balloon he got from Pizza Express, though the balloon had burst). They started to put out a call on the PA system but I ran from the toy dept to the nearest street exit just in case, and there was number one son just looking out of the door. He thought we'd walked off and left him and was very upset, he had been looking down at the floor and saw some feet walk off and followed them thinking it was us.

This only took a few seconds but was pretty terrifying all round.

I'm probably overreacting to this, making a big deal out of a thing that didn't actually happen, but well that's what you do on a blog isn't it?

I'm getting two dog leads.

Other than that, Canterbury was fine, a bit damp. Lunch was nice. We got some ideas for Number two son's upcoming birthday, no idea about christmas yet though.
