Blog2014 ≫ Printers are mad

I just bought this printer1, Dad's got one and says it's good. I needed new ink for my (very similar, but non wifi) printer, and it was about the same price to buy a brand new printer. Printer ink is such a scam2.

Getting the printer was quite a trial too. In order to save about a pound I went up to Tesco at lunchtime. I'm trying to exercise more so walking at lunch was always part of the plan, but can I get to Tesco and back (1.8 miles)3 in that time? I reckon I can if I scoot! So I took Number one son's microscooter with me, walked hard up the hill, and scooted on some of the flat and down hill bits. Didn't realise the printer would be quite so big and heavy, though I knew it was worth taking a big backpack with me. Just about stuffed it in and strapped it to my back, plus a bit more shopping, and made it back home again in exactly an hour. Quite the modern version of the iron man triathalon, I think you'll agree.

Swimming tonight, not sure I'll have to to set this new printer up, though it seems like it'll just set itself up. Then also not sure what to do with the old one, the scanner part of it works just fine. It has lots of useful looking components in it too, I might just dismantle it and hoard it with all my other man-stuff.
