Being opened by the hopfuzz.co.uk1 people, sounds great. Opening today at 6.30, but I'm at swimming with thing one then. Maybe I can drop him in the pool, leg it there for one, and be back to pick him up..?
Also this weekend Folkestone Beer Festival, and I'm mostly going to miss that. It's all go round here!

This is part of my site The 'Gerald that I set up in a fury of excitement when I first came here in approximately '04. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a gig calendar + voting for best venues and things, and I know it was a useful reference for those who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we always thought it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from the name of a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald.
