Blog2014 ≫ Raspberry Pi camera module has been a bit flakey

I moved my raspberry pi with the camera module on it recently, and it's been playing up since then. Just hangs on trying to take a picture. I think I must have disconnected the camera and reconnected it again, pretty sure nothing got damaged though. This is what I get right now:

/usr/bin/raspistill --verbose --contrast 10 --[height](/wiki/#height) 600 --width 800 --thumb 80:60:100 -o /tmp/noir.jpg
raspistill [Camera](/wiki/#camera) App v1.3.6
Width 800, [Height](/wiki/#height) 600, quality 85, filename /tmp/noir.jpg
Time delay 5000, Raw no
Thumbnail enabled Yes, width 80, [height](/wiki/#height) 60, quality 100
Link to latest frame enabled no
Full resolution preview No
Capture method : Single capture
Preview Yes, Full screen Yes
Preview window 0,0,1024,768
Opacity 255
Sharpness 0, Contrast 10, Brightness 50
Saturation 0, ISO 0, Video Stabilisation No, Exposure compensation 0
Exposure Mode 'auto', AWB Mode 'auto', Image Effect 'none'
Metering Mode 'average', Colour Effect Enabled No with U = 128, V = 128
Rotation 0, hflip No, vflip No
ROI x 0.000000, y 0.000000, w 1.000000 h 1.000000
[Camera](/wiki/#camera) component done
Encoder component done
Starting component connection stage
Connecting [camera](/wiki/#camera) preview port to video render.
Connecting [camera](/wiki/#camera) stills port to encoder input port
Opening output file /tmp/noir.jpg
Enabling encoder output port
Starting capture 0

and then it hangs... earlier it was not quite getting that far, earlier still it was just giving me errors about the camera module not being enabled. I wonder if I've shorted it out somehow.

raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.
