Clare will be so pleased with my voice controlled home automation...
It's not going as smoothly as I'd like, but it is working. I bought a super cheap microphone, so I have to hold it up close. Really I want a microphone that can pick up my voice from wherever I am in the room but I didn't want to spend any money until I knew the concept could work. And it does, just about. It recognises the difference between "light on" (turn the main pendant light on) and "lights on" (turn the wall lights on) but it's struggling with "lights off". Could be the cheap microphone.
It's a combination of this voice command software1 and my own lightwaverf library and robot butler code.
Clare is out of course, at strictly come dancing so I have an evening to tinker...
