Decided to spend my birthday money on a spark core1 and some accessories today. Went to the shed to get the lawnmower out and lo-and-behold the little light was flashing on my solar powered raspberry pi shed computer, which means there is power to it which means it can work. It's not on the wifi though, even after powering it down and then up again so I'm going to have to bring it in, plug it in and investigate. But it can work! So I'm going to spend a bit more time on this shed server project before I splash out the cash on the spark core.
I have a few more things to play with that I got for my birthday and over the weekend. Got a usb socket that I might try and plug in now while number two son is napping (as Number one son is pestering me for a go on this computer) and I also have the raspberry pi b+ to set up and a bird box camera too to set up. Lots of gadgetary!
OK Number one son your turn for the computer now...
raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.
