Stumbled across this site1, has lots of old gig listings and tickets, good work. Lots of history of lots of old Portsmouth venues (including Mecca Locarno2 which I knew as The Pit, Guidhall, South Parade Pier and all sorts. Lots of gaps and slightly inconsistent though.
