Blog2014 ≫ Action packed weekend part 4

We got a babysitter on Saturday so we could go to the pub, I won't say which pub for reasons which will become clear.

Emma and Jeff were visiting and planned a meal with Clare, and also we were pubbing to celebrate Dean's MBE, and luckily the two venues turned out to be the same place. Some planned to leave the pub before closing to watch the football at home, I was not that bothered, but would play along. It's not a footbally pub, but suddenly the big TV was turned on for the Costa Rica v Uruguay game, so we checked, and yes the pub was staying open. Ssshhh it's a secret, don't want the word to get around. It was a proper lock in, the shutters were drawn and everyone huddled round to watch the match. Shame about the result, but fun anyway.

My plan to buy a Costa Rica shirt is not looking quite so mad now, they are currently top of their group.
