Blog2014 ≫ Raspberry pi experiments not a complete success this evening

Got my fake security camera in the post, that's good, so my security pi takes another step forward. It's harder to line up the pi camera module inside it than I thought it would be, but I'll get there. Also when the wifi dongle is in one end and the sd card is in the other then it's just a few mm too long to sit comfortably in the case, but I can manage. All in all, getting there.

My other project for the solar powered shed computer has taken a step back. I put the new sd card (or at least the rediscovered and reformatted sd card) in, and still nothing. Only the power light comes on, the raspberry pi model a just won't boot up at all. Now I'm thinking maybe the sd card I found in the drawer was duff all along. It's either that or face the realisation that I have knackered the pi model a by shorting it out or something. It did actually just stop working when I was using it with the original camera module so maybe it's just a healthy one. So, I will have to get another one, and another sd card to be sure. So pausing on that until I've got my maximum money's worth out of all of the other components I have lying around.

Dad saw the surgeon today and they've taken the stitches out of his thumbs already, so it sounds like he's on the mend pretty fast, great news.

raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.
