Blog2014 ≫ Home grown for tea

Not got much growing in my garden, the one thing that does keep coming back is chives. So I had chives in my sandwich yesterday. It is just as satisfying as having grown all my own veg I am sure. I have planted some beans and some chilli too but I don't hold out much hope for them, I really just threw them in the ground as I had them lying around. Well, that is how they grow in the wild anyway, without the help of Monty Don and his heated greenhouses.

My lawn is looking quite good, mostly helped by my neighbour's lawn looking quite bad. He's cut it way to short, first time out with the lawnmower that was left in the house and it looks more like it has been ploughed rather than mown. I'm very grateful he stopped before getting to our side.

Tea tonight is actually chilli. One day it will be with my home grown beans and chilli peppers. But not today.
