Blog2014 ≫ Great weekend btw

Excellent cafe lunch, nice walk around Folkestone with Mum and Dad and the boys, clean windows, and I made a paella which seemed to be good. Pretty pleased with all that.

Clare had to work on the Saturday to make up for having the half-term Friday off, but we entertained ourselves in Folkestone. Had lunch in Beano's, after a nice meandering walk through the town. It's nice to take visitors around town, nice to stop and take a look through someone else's eyes, someone who is not so jaded and takes it all for granted. Not actually looking through their eyes, that would be weird.

Thing one had a great go on the bungee thing that was in the town centre, he absolutely loved it and we got some quite good pictures despite me leaving the memory card from the camera at home. Camera phone to the rescue:

We got our dinner that night from Raj-Bari just down the road. Maybe I chose badly, everyone else said theirs was great, not my favourite meal of the weekend though. The paella I made was great, despite not having any saffron - a bit of turmeric for colour, plenty of smoked paprika and a good array of veg got me a result.
