Seeing the rise and rise of Folkestone!
Maybe it's really happening now? Aside from the novelty of having some time to spare in Folkestone and not going in my favourite place Chambers, nor my second favourite Firkin Ale House, nor my third favourite Googies, nor... no I don't have a fourth favourite. Aside from those, and then Beano's and Kipps Ale House, I noticed The Harp Club has reopened! Actually called The Harp Restrung now, this is one of the places we went when I first came to Folkestone a long time ago. So nice to hear of places opening, instead of closing. And then if that weren't enough Harvey's is being renovated by the looks. Heard someone in another pub the other day saying that it had been bought, some fancy London money had come down and were taking on the whole building (it is a hotel too). The outside is having a clean up, I suppose they'll be taking on the inside too. Is it really, finally, actually happening? Everything seems very positive round here right now.
