I had a peek through the windows of Kipps Ale House on Sunday, the new pub at the top of the Old High Street. It looks amazing! I can't wait to go there.
It seems to be a bit in the style of the Firkin micropub but slightly more towards a traditional pub. I suspect there is music in there (though I don't know). I can see there are big old barrels of real ale and cider behind the bar.
This Saturday is out as we're off to see Stewart Lee, but maybe I can pop in there the following Saturday, or maybe Clare and I can get a babysitter and go for another night out soon.
There's a real choice of FOUR places that are worth visiting in Folkestone town centre now; Chambers, The Firkin, Googies, and this new one...
