Blog2014 ≫ Good public speaking advice

I have to present my home automation skills at some point at work, at one of our "dev sessions". Need a way of making it entertaining... People do seem to be genuinely impressed / interested when I mention the blinds automatically opening and closing, so I'll focus on that.

On the home automation tip, got a new lightwaverf switch for the upstairs hallway on order, so that should be my last failing / hanging off the wall with live wires exposed bit of the house fixed then.

Also got someone coming to look at the boiler. Our hot water is unreliable, so we're getting a service and some advice. Obviously I'm mostly hoping for a "I can fix this surprisingly cheaply", but if we have to go down the route of a new boiler then I'm going to cash in some premium bonds and get a
