Today is the first day proper of the new year, so austerity measures starts today.
Yesterday we had an evening of decadence, chili with tortillas AND potato wedges, then a fairly fancy bottle of vino collapso to follow Errazuriz Estate Syrah Reserva. And then of course we stayed up too late watching TV (a really good Marple then the rest of Big Fat Quiz Of The Year). So today it starts, sensible eating, no drinking in the week. AND it is a full week, five days. I might even go out for a walk at lunchtime, though I wish I had weighed myself or taken some sort of measurements before starting all this.
