Blog2013 ≫ The Florence Arms

On our big weekend out our hotel The Florence House Hotel was right opposite a pub The Florence Arms - would have been runde tot to go in, so I waited in there with a pint while Clare got ready to head out for the evening. Looks to be newly refurbished (here is some history 1 and some more 2 from 2012). And seemed nice enough but very quiet when we went in - real ale, comfy chairs, pool table but no people. Then suddenly it burst into life. It's a surprisingly big place with multiple rooms. Quite a choice of ales and cider though my first choice the Rosie's Pig cloudy cider was not nice - possibly that is how it's meant to be, but I'm not sure.

Anyway nice enough pub, I would be happy if it was my local.

Writing this on my Friday back at work, strange does not feel like a Friday nor like it's only a week since our big weekend out. Spent most of the day in a "dev session" brainstorming ideas for some work we're doing in the new year. Looking forward to starting my weekend.
