Blog ≫ 2013 ≫ We went out of the house
We actually left the house for the evening yesterday, to see The Darkness at the Leas Cliff Hall. And it rocked, they were good, a good show. But I'm feeling a bit too old for this. It's been a long time since I've been to a gig, and I don't think I'll be rushing to the next one. Mostly it was concern about my slightly bad back and then wanting to get back for Dean who was babysitting for us, but mostly it just doesn't appeal so much any more. No disrespect to The Darkness though, who were excellent, if a bit skinny.
Next time we go out we are staying out properly for the night, so we won't be worrying about getting back for the boys. But also, we won't be stood in one spot for the evening with a nagging concern about whether I'm getting best value for my rare night out.
