I've merged in the changes1 to my home automation ruby gem2 and only a few things broke for me. This has inspired me to do more work, which is good.
I need to do more work to separate components at home. I have set the lounge TV and surround sound and so on to be turned off overnight, but now I realise I need more granularity. The Humax box and the raspberry pi are set to stay on permanently, but now I realise I need the video sender to come on earlier in the morning than the TV etc, so we can use the TV upstairs when we get up at 6am.
Back to work today, after my week off.
