I try to avoid the supermarket these days, we get our groceries delivered, but I have found myself in Sainsbury's TWICE this week. Yesterday I saw a van with my name on it, more or less, it said Paul Clark Services 1. Then today I was parked next to a slightly shabby looking short wheelbase Landrover Defender, and now I want one again. I had decided that it's a stupidly impractical vehicle choice for me (ironic for such a practical vehicle) but now I'm having third thoughts. Wife is working tomorrow, a catch up day while on maternity because it is the Plant Fair. And she's taking the car! If I had my Landrover I could take the boys out somewhere, but as it stands we will mostly be in the house, with maybe a walk in to Sandgate in the afternoon.
Here at the White Cliffs of Dover, we're gearing up to host our 13th plant fair on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May from 10am-4pm.
The event is free and everyone is welcome. Money raised will directly support conservation work at the White Cliffs.
The annual event will take place in a marquee beside the Visitor Centre and thousands of high quality plants will be on sale to tempt green fingers. All of the plants are grown especially for the event by a dedicated team of volunteer growers and are available to buy at reasonable prices.
