Blog2013 ≫ Badger cam

Something has been digging up our front lawn! It's not a mole, it's something digging into the lawn from above, just small holes. Maybe a squirrel looking for buried nuts, but I think more likely a big bird or a badger. Do foxes dig? Not sure. I have moved my raspberry pi attached camera (with motion detection) to a suitable spot to watch, and record, and send me evidence!

It's not a perfect spot, but I need the camera to be indoors, because it is a very cheap low spec usb webcam type thing, rather than a dedicated outdoor security camera. As ever I am doing this on the super cheap (basically free, repurposing bits I have hoarded). Will report back if I get anything interesting.

raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.
