Bah, I am 40 quid out of pocket after my ebay buyer claimed the sky+ box did not arrive. I have learned a lesson, never ever send anything out without proof of postage, ideally recorded or registered. If I'd done that I'd be protected by paypal, but without it I don't have a leg to stand on. I can chase it up with the post office but I don't have any faith in them at the best of times. Still smarting that my mothers day card got held up for having not enough postage despite having a first class (60p) stamp on it. They said it was oversize, but am I really the type to splash out on a big flashy card?
At the other end of the scale, I bought an electronics component today, a pair of eyes 1 for my robot butler. I could not resist the price, 1.67 including postage coming all the way from China. My mothers day card cost more than that to get from here to Hampshire.
I must stop looking up arduino on ebay though there are so many great kits and components out there, either new and just bargainous and fascinating 2, or for resale 3 because someone has given up / changed their mind / achieved what they wanted and moved on...
