Further to yesterday's post about buying this fire engine 1, and here's how it could pay for itself:
We could stop paying the window cleaner, window cleaning would be fun with one of these.
I need to get our gutters cleared, so I either have to pay someone to do it or buy a ladder and do it myself. Not if I had a fire engine!
I need a loft ladder. Hmm, slightly less practical this one.
It's probably big enough to use as a spare room for guests.
I could rescue cats out of trees and fetch frisbees from people's roofs, for a fee. Quite literally (rescue) platform as a service.
