Just had a quick panic test of my new humax freesat pvr, as the settings page shows "good signal" for the first tuner, and "no signal" on the second tuner (it has two tuners, so you can record one thing and watch something else like they all do now). I saw a comment in a review on amazon about a customer returning one of these pvrs because of an issue like this. What's going on? I googled it and found this page1 explaining it - tuner 2 says "no signal" if it's not currently in use. I just recorded two shows at once and all is fine...
