Blog2012 ≫ Good night's sleep!

Relatively good anyway. I went back to the "go to bed early and set the alarm for the dream feed" as I was tired and thought I could have an extra hour or so sleep. This makes it tricky to wake at the time for the dream feed, but in theory I had more sleep. number two son was as snuffly as ever but did not wake up crying, so we're all good.

I gave up on trying to get wifi working on the raspberry pi, it's not down to drivers as I thought for my old WG111 dongle, it's just down to not having enough power - wifi eats up the power, and the power from the raspberry pi alone is not enough, I need a powered usb hub and to plug the wifi card in to that. This might put a stop to my wifi plans for now - I could plug the raspberry pi into a solar panel and battery in the shed maybe, but extra power demands might push it beyond the realm... Just sticking with indoors and cabled into the network for now.

raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.
