Blog2012 ≫ Remote sockets in the UK

There were none of these 1 when I was looking previously... Now I am tempted, but now is precisely the time for me not to be buying more gadgetry, as I am both time poor and cash poor, hmm... we do need a dimmer switch for the nursery though...

Having done a bit of research LightwaveRF get mixed reviews, initially people very excited with them but then disappointed in the lack of followup - promised new products and improvements to the ropey Android app never arriving. What do I do?

They sell this kit all over the place including Amazon (where it's actually very expensive) but also Maplin and B&Q where there seem to be some bargains.

This looks to be great:

however it seems to be just an image on a website, not sure the product actually exists. It's a remote controlled thermostat for the radiator, seems to be more or less plug and play. You get the wifi link 2 that plugs in to your router, and then you can control individual radiators from your phone. Smart!
