Blog2012 ≫ Happy New Year

We had a lovely evening in last night, following a lovely day out in Canterbury. I didn't buy anything, even though it was a post pay day Saturday, but Clare bought new boots with some christmas money and got a top she wanted from White Stuff, both genuine bargains in the sale. Did not expect to see many sales, but the top is one she nearly bought at double the price before christmas, so good work.

We made and ate fajitas for our new year's eve meal, played Scrabble, watched Coach Trip and Come Dine With Me and opened a bottle of Prosecco at midnight. A quieter night than some we have had, but I didn't envy the people stood along the banks of the Thames watching the fireworks. We have quite literally actually been there, and also done that.

Now all is quiet on new year's day. The boy has just gone down for a nap. We're out for lunch today, having the christmas that we missed with the in-laws while they were off in America. This means he has more presents due today, the lucky boy.
