Blog2011 ≫ Cloud move was 99% perfect

Hmm, that 1% imperfect meant we had to roll back at about 6am, and have to go through the whole process again on Monday night. The code was all good (ahem, all my stuff worked) the only issue was with some domain names that we don't control. We tried to redirect traffic coming in to the building on those domains straight up to the cloud but it did not work. I say "we", not me though. Did I say my bit all worked OK?

I slept in yesterday, though fitfully, and got up about 11am. We went for a walk in Enbrook Park, though the weather has gone off the boil again now. I popped in to work for an hour, but will be taking more time off in lieu on Friday afternoon.

The lack of sleep has messed me up for a couple of days. I blame the lack of sleep for our poor performance in last night's Britannia quiz, we scored only 60/80, coming in fourth place, so no prize. The winning team got 70/80. I am definitely to blame for some of our wrong answers. The team we were worried about, the newbies who thrashed us in to second place last week came third this week, so they are beatable. It was two regular teams who came in first and second, the winners being one of Clare's workmates.
