Blog2011 ≫ Going to home brew me some cider

My favourite ciders seem to have disappeared from our local shops. I have got quite in to the Weston's Organic still cider that comes in a three litre box for about five or six pounds, but I can't find it any more. The only option is to brew my own! It sounds quite easy1 so I'm going to give it a go. Basically just get some apple juice and some yeast and that's it. Will save some money too I think, I just paid 3.10 for 750ml of still cider in Waitrose.

Been a glorious day here today, we've been at Dom and Jen's for a barbecue. Really lovely and sunny sat out in their garden, their front garden this time instead of on the decking out the back. The gardens are strangely arranged over in Etchinghill, their front garden feels like a back garden. All nice and safe and enclosed anyway. Poppy had the paddling pool that we bought her for her birthday out for the first time and all the kids had a great time in it, including the big kids Dean and Dom soaking each other with bucket and hose. The food was really good, good work Dom, the whole day has been lovely.

Clare is off out tonight with Dom, hence me being on the internets at this time of night. I did not really prepare well for this evening, I have no TV queued up so have been organising my pictures of the day and am now half watching Town with Nicholas Crane, the Perth episode.

Absolutely booting it down now with rain, and Clare has gone out without a brolly...

Been looking at my advertising stats, I seem to still be getting quite a few clicks on the various websites, even though no-one comments on anything so I think no-one is reading. Mostly it's about The Gerald rather than the blog or family tree stuff, but it does seem to do surprisingly well without any intervention from me. Long may it continue! Not sure if I should make more effort to create more content or just leave it running by itself...
