Saturday was my lie-in, and the boy woke Clare up at about 6.15. Sunday was my lie-in, and I had to go and wake the boy up when we woke up at 9.30. Good boy!
Went to Canterbury on Saturday, primarily shopping, but while Clare and the boy did extra shopping they let me off to go to the pub. My first instinct was to head to the Brewery Tavern because it was closest to where I was and I only wanted a quiet sit down with the paper. A fwe more minutes thought reminded me of The Unicorn, so I headed out the West Gate and was soon in the very peaceful surroundings, with a very nice pint of Samphire ale. I bought The I1 for the first time too, it's good I think, a nice roundup of the weeks news and reviews, just right for reading on an afternoon like that.
We also had lunch at Ask, which was OK but not as good as it has been. They have stopped taking our Sainsbury's nectar points as payment, and they've taken the two dishes we would normally have off the menu. And they've redecorated. Might still give Ask in Fareham a go this weekend though.
Rest of the weekend was spent sheltering from the rain indoors. At least the lawn is green again now, and the water butt is full.
