Blog2010 ≫ Day of cleaning

Well mostly cleaning, partly hiding down here in the study pretending to clean. I was up early this morning, and have achieved quite a lot. Tidied the leaves from the back garden, washed and despidered the front door, porch, and bin shed, more some dusting and cleaning and mopping, shopping, and rearranged the front room before Clare got up. Mostly I did this early so she wouldn't see it half done and complain, I've turned the room round 180 degrees. I think it gives us more space, and there's a clearer run through the room to the balcony.

Went to Bluewater yesterday, got our new dinner service. Got a bargain mirror in John Lewis too. A little excitement on the way back when some ladders came flying off the top of a van just in front of us. Somehow we were far enough back to stop safely. Hung our new mirror, and a bathroom cabinet that has been hanging around for ages, AND finally got some of our framed albums back on the wall. Hallway looks a bit more welcoming now.

The boys done a few steps this week, three times he's taken a couple of steps unaided. It's more semi-controlled falling than actual walking, but he's getting there. He is napping now, when he gets up we may go to the park, as it's such a cracking hot day today. Or, I may stay in and do some drilling, while Clare takes him to the park.

Dad, I pumped up the car tyres at last! They were only at half their recommended pressure.
